About Kinderlieder

Kinderlieder is Lullula Music's multimedia, participatory song recital for babies and children.

Designed specifically for ages zero to five, Kinderlieder reimagines the traditional Lied recital – from the perspective of a young child.

Storytelling and the natural world are at the heart of both song and a child’s musical experience: Kinderlieder programs, the audience explores both the stories and natural environments embedded in the musical material; and, an immersive audio installation bridges the natural world with the concert hall.

The artists at the center – virtuosic, up-close – invite the audience to participate in communal, pedagogical impulses, drawn from Lullula’s own curriculum.

Designed as the very first concert experience to encourage listening, participation and belonging in classical music, Kinderlieder opens a joyful space for song and music education from birth, onwards.
